Snow Day

I woke up this morning to shrieks and shrills of my daughter saying "It's snowing momma!" We waited all day yesterday for it to snow and it didn't snow. So first thing my daughter did this morning is go and open up the blinds and looked out the window (something she does on a regular basis). She saw snow falling. She was soooo excited. We went out and saw the little bit of snow that was in the garden. I am not sure if it can really be called snow but it was good enough for my daughter so I am calling it snow. :) She ran through the backyard singing "I love snow, I love snow" Then this little one had to take off her gloves so that she could touch it. Oh boy was it cold. To end the cold morning we came in and momma made some hot cocoa. It was a good morning even if she didn't get to experience making a snow man. Someday we will be in area where she will be able to do that, but for now she throughly loved and enjoyed her experience.

Big Announcement

I have not been posting to much on my blog here. I have a good reason, I promise. But first I want you to check out Mickey's new t-shirt. She loves her yellow t-shirt.

Yes, Mickey is going to be a Big Sister come late May. Mickey has been wanting a baby brother or sister and has been telling people that she was getting one long before I was actually pregnant. Somehow little ones know things that us adults don't know.

I have been struggling with lots of nausea and exhaustion. But thankfully through some nice drugs I am feeling better. It is nice to be able to eat, take a shower without the fear of throwing up.

We are all excited around here. And I promise that I will be posting more regular updates now that my big secret is out.

Holiday's in Hand

I have taken some photo editing classes from Jessica Sprague at JessicaSprague.com. I have learned so much and I am forever grateful to the skills I have learned from her classes. I just got my first ever scrapbook and I love it and can't wait to do another one. Through her guided lessons I was able to get over my fear and was able to accomplish something that has scared me for so long!

She is offering a class Holiday's in Hand. This is a free class. It is about documenting our holiday traditions. I think that you may need photoshop or photoshop elements but you can download a free trial if you would like to check out the class. Starts on November 16th and the Code is: HIHFREE2009. And don't feel pressure about finding the time, her classes are set up so that you do it when it works for you. And you get access to the information long after the class is over so if you forget something you can go and refresh your memory! Which I love and appreciate.

If you join the class let me know!

Fall Festival

I wasn't sure how Mickey would do at the whole dress up thing. Last year she would have nothing to do with it but this year she LOVED it. We also watched a couple of her kid shows that showed her how people like to dress up and pretend. And she was all for it. Jeff was able to make it to the Fall Festival. He had knee surgery on Wednesday and walking is not the easiest things to do. I know that it was difficult for him to get up and walk the parking lot of the festival but I think that he was happy to have those memories of Mickey.

Pumpkin

We were able to pick our own pumpkin and Mickey set to task to painting them. She had a blast and was very proud to show them off!

Dancing for Parents

In Mickey's last dance class the parents were invited to come in and watch our little ones show off their moves. I do believe that they were a little distracted having parents in the room that they showed off a bit. You can tell that Mickey is enjoying life as a dancer.

Owie

Yesterday, Mickey was playing with O and D and she fell on the ground and got a bad owie. She did quite well and held it together. Thankfully, Ms. S gave her some Tic Tac's that kept her mind off the pain. This was until we got to the truck where she had a meltdown. She babied that arm all afternoon and during the night she woke up a few times complaining of it hurting. When it came time to go to dance class she was not real sure that she wanted to go however, through the help of her daddy (many miles away) we took care of the pain. She wanted me to take a picture of her owie, I am not sure as to why but I did... so why not share it with you.
