A few months back we bought Mickey a Cinderella dress so she could wear it on Halloween. She refused to wear it and for the last few months it hasn't been touched with a 10 foot pole. Then out of the blue Mickey went into her room and went to her dresser and pulled this dress out to wear. I was a little shocked that this is what she wanted to wear.

She now LOVES her Cinderella dress. She loves looking and of course dancing like a princess. After she put her dress one she requested that I take her picture. I think that it is just funny that this is what she wanted to do. She loved her dress so much that she proceeded to wear it for a few days in a row. She does that she picks a dress and wants to wear it every waking moment. So if you see pictures of her in the same outfit over and over again, it is because the girl has to wear it OVER and OVER again. I let her. The rule is when we leave the house she has to pick something clean to wear but when we get back home she can go back and wear whatever dress she just has to wear that day. So far it works. This means that the moment she steps in the door she begins stripping down and redressing. This is the joy of being 3. My goal is to make sure the front door is closed before she begins stripping. ;)

  1. Isn't it funny how kids are like that with clothes. I remember when Tracey was like that, she would insist on wearing the most obnoxious things, but I guess that's all part of growing up and learning to be their little independent selves!
